"A Free Space Between Intersections," celebrates queer Black men at the intersection of race and equality, contrasted against the backdrop of desertion and abandonment. The vibrant photographs are a means to claim space in the discussion about equality and bring black queer bodies into open spaces.
Join us on Saturday, February 24, 1:00-4:00pm to hear more about the creative process of artist Shabez Jamal as he created this series of joyful, personal photographs. Doors open at 1:00pm. Artist Talk begins at 1:30pm with question and answer and reception to follow.
